Critical Gamer writes: I"ve always liked reading what game journos have to write. I"ve seen videogame journalism change over the years however, and not for the better. I still enjoy reading it, and for many reasons; to find out the latest news, to garner information about new and upcoming games, to read exclusive interviews – and now and again, to enter competitions or nab a free beta code of some kind.

You may have noticed that nowhere in my list of reasons for reading up on games, was mention of the writing itself. I don"t want to sound old before my time (the age of thirty is stalking me, gnashing its teeth) but there"s no two ways about it: the writing really was much better when I was young.
